On June 15 at 1pm, Monocacy National Battlefield will host a talk on the history of Emancipation through the United States Military. This talk will look at African American participation in the United States military from its origins up through desegregation in 1948. The talk will take place at the Monocacy National Battlefield Visitors Center.
