Discover Frederick’s past as we navigate through the labyrinth of graves, crypts and monuments of historic Mount Olivet Cemetery, one of Maryland’s largest and most beautiful cemeteries. Final resting place of Francis Scott Key, author of our National Anthem, and the Star Spangled Banner; Maryland's first Governor, Thomas Johnson and Civil War heroine, Barbara Fritchie. Tour also includes intriguing facts about the cemetery’s origin, tombstone design, grave robbing, mass graves, plus stops at other distinctive burial plots, including Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and Civil War. Tour concludes with a visit to the Key Memorial Chapel. Reservations are required and tickets are $16.00 per person. (This is not a Ghost Tour)
