This program is presented by Ross Schwalm, president of the Johannes Schwalm Historical Association, and Past President of the Colonel William Grayson Chapter, Virginia Society of the SAR. The Johannes Schwalm Historical Association is dedicated to educating the public on the German Auxiliary Troops ("Hessians") who participated in the American Revolution, and many of whom were prisoners at the Frederick Barracks and elsewhere. Thousands of these troops stayed in North America after the war and blended into the communities of existing Germans.
This event is free to the public.
