Enjoy a 6 mile guided mellow paddle on the Potomac River. This trip puts in on the Potomac River, which is located right next to the C&O Canal. The C&O Canal was of great historical importance during the Civil War. The Union used the canal to transport supplies and soldiers, while the Confederates worked to damage the canal to disrupt the Union’s supply chain. To get to the put-in location for our trips, you will drive on the only part of the C&O Canal that is approved for public vehicular access. You’ll land your boats at the Brunswick Family Campground where you will have the opportunity to change before you caravan along with your guide and fellow paddlers to Big Cork Vineyards. Nestled on 100 rolling acres, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. Quench your thirst with a wine tasting featuring six of their delectable wines. Satisfy your appetite with a wine tasting tour and cheese plate featuring three cheeses, baguette, dried fruits, and nuts.
