Museums, historic sites and more are responding to COVID-19 by making resources available online and digitally engaging with the public. This list will be updated regularly.

If you're a representative of a cultural organization in Carroll, Frederick, or Washington County that's organized an online response to COVID-19, email emily@heartofthecivilwar.org for inclusion on this list.

Carroll Arts Center and Carroll County Tourism - Explore the Carroll County Barn Quilt Trail online and share the gallery on social media. 

Union Mills Homestead - See the online education resources on their website.

Historical Society of Carroll County - Help preserve history as it is made; Carroll County residents are encouraged to send the Historical Society of Carroll County photos, videos, and comments on their experience of the pandemic. Downtown Sykesville Connection - Enter their Draw Your Main Street challenge. See their Facebook post for competition details.

The National Museum of Civil War Medicine - Explore the Virtual Museum online, including virtual tours of the museum and walking tours, a documentary, lecture, blog, links to artifacts and primary sources, and more. Keep an eye on their social media for Facebook Live events and check their calendar for a full schedule of livestreaming content. 

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts - Participate in their Art A Day Challenge.

Delaplaine Arts Center - Stay up to date with their Virtual Delaplaine initiative on social media, to include arts activities, links to artwork, exhibitions, and more.

Monocacy National Battlefield - Tune in to their social media updates, including Facebook Live events. 

Rose Hill Manor Park & Museums - Check their Facebook for a series of Social Studies based lessons and activities that you can use at home. Uploads will occur on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Students who complete our online lesson series will be eligible for a special behind the scenes tour when the site resumes their normal schedule. Submit your completed lesson work/activity sheets each week to Rose Hill Manor Park & Museums by Facebook Messenger.
