Newcomer House Programming Proposals

The Newcomer House at Antietam National Battlefield serves as the Exhibit and Visitor Center for the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area. National Park Service volunteers provide information to Heritage Area visitors during the open season, from early April to early December.

HCWHA is seeking programming proposals, including (but not limited to) interpretive programs such as living history and lectures related to the Civil War; author presentations and book signings; hikes starting from the Newcomer House; children's activities; performances of period music. Outdoor programs on the grounds of Newcomer House are encouraged. All programs offered at Newcomer House are free, open to the public, and suitable for families.

We typically do not have funds to cover programming costs. Please indicate if you are able to make your program an in-kind donation to the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area on the form below.

Will your program be an in-kind donation to the Heritage Area?
May we share your program information with other potential venues in the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area?
