The 114th Signal Battalion, Fort Detrick, MD, will have a display, talks and demonstrate modern signal communications. Saturday evening at 10:00pm join us for a night signalling between South Mountain State Battlefield Park and the Pry House.

This program will focus on the Department of West Virginia as they occupied South Mountain near Wolfesville. Breakfast and pre-ride church and cemetery tours at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church and St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, both in Hancock, will be offered from 7 until 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of St. Peter’s. The blessing of the bikes and send off will begin there at 9:15 a.m. Also included are the following historic churches, some of which will be open for tours along the way: Hancock Presbyterian Church, The Dunkard Church at Antietam National Battlefield, Christ Reformed Church and Tolson’s Chapel in Sharpsburg, the Manor Church of the Brethren and St. Mark’s Episcopal in Boonsboro. At the end of the tour, from 12:30 until 2 p.m. lunch, a raffle and door prizes will be offered at St. Mark’s. Cost is $10 per participant.

Living history volunteers will portray the 23rd Ohio Infantry and Confederate Infantry recreating the life of a Civil War soldier, how he lived, marched and fought. Weapons and tactics demonstrations will be held both Saturday and Sunday, with ongoing interpretation in the camp throughout the weekend. Saturday at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.; Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Admission to the Park (3-day pass) is $4.00 per person or $6.00 per family.
